MISSION

Our missions program is modeled by Jesus' command in  Acts 1:8. We believe everyone deserves an opportunity to hear the Gospel and it is our Biblical mandate to take the message of Jesus to our community, our nation, and to the ends of the Earth.

OUR COMMUNITY

Local missions is an important part of our ministry here at Community. As we serve our community, there are opportunities for people of all ages to get involved. You can help be a part of seeing lives changed by the message of the gospel, right here in Southwest Missouri. Below are just a few of the ministries we take part in locally.

FREEWAY MINISTRIES

Freeway Ministries is an organization committed to living out the Gospel and fulfilling the Great Commission found in Matthew 28. They are committed to using Biblical truths and believe through the reasoning of scriptures, people can and will be set free from any and every addiction; all while glorifying Jesus Christ. "A church for the unchurched," Freeway is a drug and alcohol recovery ministry. CSBC continues to partner with and support Freeway ministries on an ongoing basis.

PEOPLE FEEDING PEOPLE

People Feeding People is an in-house ministry that travels to local poverty stricken areas and homeless camps to provide meals and present the gospel message.

This is a wonderful way to reach people on a personal level and have those deep conversation about where their lives have taken them and how we can help!

HARMONY HOUSE

Every month we provide and serve a meal at Harmony House. This local mission project is important to CSBC! Started by a concerned group of community members in 1976, Harmony House has been providing shelter and support services to domestic violence survivors ever since and has impacted the lives of over 20,000 individuals and their children who have been served to date.

FAIR GROVE SCHOOLS

We have a heart for our local school district. We strive to be a serving presence within the walls of the buildings so many of our kids go to on a daily basis. You will often see mission projects centered around Fair Grove schools including feeding the teachers and staff, helping families with lunch debt, providing school supplies, and working with the administration to help local families in need.

TO THE ENDS OF THE EARTH

Outside of local missions, we also have a heart for national and international missions. This has been an expanded effort to reach the unreached and to serve outside of our communities. Below are a few of the missions projects we participate in regularly.

ANNUAL MISSION TRIPS

Every year we have a spring and a summer church mission trip. These trips typically consist of a combination of service work, outreach/evangelism, and helping with worship services. We also like to provide ministry training, counseling and trade skills development.

We've been to New Mexico to help paint another church, Omaha, NE to build a stage, Eureka Springs, Arkansas to clean up the Passion Play grounds and theater, and other needed services.

  • Everyone is welcome to attend, all ages!

  • Local mission trips are no cost to individuals or families choosing to come and serve

  • All mission team members are required to attend any/all trainings for each trip.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

CSBC participates in Operation Christmas Child every year. The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with local churches like ours to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

Community is just one of the tens of thousands of volunteers from local churches around the world partnering with them to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ at festive outreach events where children are surprised with shoeboxes.

INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

CSBC has partnered with Missionary Keri Kondracki with World Initiative Network to expand our international missions goals. With partnerships in Greece and South Africa, we are just getting started in working to change the face of poverty across the globe.

Our primary focus is to bring the gospel with us as we go. While we are sharing God's Word we want to meet needs that may be lacking such as nutrition, shelter, safety and education.
